I’m always searching the web for good freeware tools. Here are some of my favorite website building tools and free resources. These tools and resources are 100% free, no nags, or trails.
Web Page editor NVU (pronounced N-View) is the best free WYSIWYG editor on the web. A complete Web authoring editor for Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Macintosh users. You can create web pages without knowing HTML If you can use a word processor you can create web pages with NVU. Tip: You can create a professional looking website by downloading a free web template. You can find tree templates by doing a google search for free web templates. After you find the template you like and have downloaded it use NVU to edit it, ad links, change the title ect..
Photo Editor If you can’t afford to purchase software like Adobe Photoshop, don’t worry, there Is an Open Source program called GIMP. GIMP is very popular image editing program, similar to Adobe PhotoShop. It can be used to edit or create photos.
Free Stock Photos Stock.xchng has a large gallery of over 35000 high quality stock photos. Registration is required, but it only takes a few minutes.
Flickr is another good source for free stock photos. Be sure you only download non-copyright images.
Most Free Stock Photo Sites have terms of use rules, be sure to read them carefully before using the pictures.
FTP (File Transfer Protocal FileZilla is a popular freeware FTP program that you run on your computer that will connect to a FTP Server to download or upload files.
